Geosolutions Leeds welcomes new Director - Professor Dave Healy
Geosolutions is delighted to welcome Professor Dave Healy to the team as Director of the centre. Prof. Healy joined in April 2024 and will lead the research, innovation and impact in the centre, to meet the challenges of the climate crisis through world-class subsurface research.
Prof. Healy joined the University of Leeds from the University of Aberdeen, having also worked at Curtin University and the University of Liverpool.
Professor Healy’s current research interests include geothermal energy, the growth of fracture patterns and estimating the probability of earthquakes. He teaches geology and geophysics in the field, classroom and laboratory, and joins Leeds as Professor of Geomechanics.
